Many of us, at different stages of our lives, meet difficulties that affect our happiness, our relationships, our health and even our performance at work. We find it hard to cope. Sometimes we lose our way and our concerns can seem overwhelming. Advice from family and well-intentioned friends just isn’t enough.
What psychotherapy is
Psychotherapy is a process in which you take time to understand, explore and become aware of how your thoughts and feelings are leading you to behave the way you do. It offers a safe and confidential setting in which to explore issues from childhood or from your life now.
Psychotherapy and counselling are about learning to be understanding and compassionate towards yourself. They can help you clarify what you want from life, increase your awareness, and take responsibility and power in your own life.
